
Well after a week of silence Yahoo rejects Microsoft’s bid for stake in Yahoo. Yahoo turned down the deal by giving reason that the bidding amount is very less and underestimated sum for the cos.
However the past week was really interesting in thinking about the deal and the rejection of deal.
Well from the web world view, there would have a lot of change if in any case deal would have finalised. Like as the emergence of common biggest database of search engine. Better quality and with very big and old and trusted brand name i.e. Microsoft.
Well in past 10-20 odd months Microsoft has make a lot of aquisitions including getting share in advertisement of Facebook. And also due to intense battle and clear emergence of Google as lead and dominant player of online advertising, Microsoft is almost forced to do aquisitions. But now as the response from yahoo has come it will only fuel the battle of online marketing share.
For last few years performance of Google and dipping popularity of Microsoft and Yahoo, Google is bound to grow more in this fastly increasing web advertisements.
